General information

Students who do not defend their bachelor’s or master’s thesis in the semester in which they enrolled for it may request extended enrolment for the following semester or complete the ordinary enrolment procedure in the following semester or a subsequent one.


Extended enrolment is valid for the extension session in the following semester; final theses must be registered, deposited and defended within the periods stipulated in the ETSEIB academic procedure calendar.

 

Student who do not pass their bachelor's or master's thesis within these periods must re-enrol by following the ordinary procedure.
In the case of extended enrolment, students are only required to pay the fees for administrative services (academic record processing, learning support and student insurance, if applicable). In the case of ordinary enrolment, however, they must pay all fees, including the surcharge for retaking the thesis, as stipulated in the 
Decree on Fees.

 

If the thesis topic changes, extended enrolment may not be requested.

 

 

 

How to apply

How?

Students may apply for extended enrolment via the DemanaUPC/ETSEIB online support service using thei UPC intranet login credentials:

  • Select the help topic: Bacherlor's/master's theses.
  • Fill in your personal details.
  • Select the query type: Enrolment.
  • State your request in the Ticket details section.
    • If you are enrolling for any subjects or a work placement in the same semester for which you are requesting extended enrolment, you must state this in your application.
  • Click on Create ticket.

When?

Applications for extended enrolment must be submitted within the periods stipulated in the ETSEIB academic procedure calendar.


Fee

In the case of extended enrolment, students are only required to pay fees for administrative services (academic record processing, learning support and student insurance, if applicable).


Enrolment

Once your proposal has received academic approval, the extended enrolment will be processed.

You may consult your enrolment status in the e-Secretaria.

  • Go to the Forms and payments menu.
  • Select your most recent enrolment and click on View form.
